Located across the Hudson River from NYC, just north of the Lincoln Tunnel, Guttenberg was described by The New York Times in 1983 as “an old community of two-story row houses, small stores and light industry.” However, the small town has since experienced significant growth, now with the highest population density in New Jersey. Once home to thriving embroidery businesses, this area is currently envisioned as an emerging arts district.
Supplying much needed residential to support this resurgence, 7000 Adams is a 10-story reinforced concrete structure that will provide 195 rental units, with a mix of studio to 3-bedroom apartments, well as ground-level retail, and multiple levels of parking from the basement up to the part of the 3rd floor.
Clad in a mix of metal and fiber cement panels and thin brick, the façade conceals a host of amenity spaces within, including a full gym, yoga room, party gathering space, and a business center—all topped off with a large roof top terrace.
The project received approval from the Guttenberg Joint Planning/Zoning Board in September 2020 and is expected to break ground this fall.
